About Me

If you were to ask any of my friends about me, the first thing they would say is that I'm a "techy nerd." They're not wrong. Outside of my family, my focus and passion is around technology, whether it is at work or at home.

I am continuing to develop my technical skills and am working towards my VMware VCP-DVC certification. I also like photography, albiet it has been awhile since I've had time to devote to the hobby. My latest hobby is on homelabbing. I have created a blog in which I will be building content about my homelab and VCP preparation. You can find it here.

Work

GE Healthcare

Support Architect July 2015 - Present

As a Support Architect, I serve as a team leader for a support department consisting of over 40 employees. My focus is on the technical and system-backend of the API Healthcare software solutions; as such, I work extensively with SQL Server, IIS, and Windows Server products. I am the virtualization and networking subject matter expert for the department.

My day-to-day responsibilities include handling emergent client escalations, assisting the frontline and analyst staff, as well as working on projects as assigned and developing and enhancing department workflows. In addition, I work very closely with our software development team in the tracking of client-reported software defects, which includes managing and prioritizing a backlog and working with product development teams to ensure the products are going in the correct direction for our clients.

GE Healthcare (formerly API Healthcare)

Application Analyst II January 2014 - June 2015

In this role, I served as a tier-2 support analyst for API Healthcare's Human Resources and Payroll software solution. I supported a team of 10 frontline (tier-1) associates. I handled emergent client escalations and completed analysis of issues sent to tier-2 for further review.

In the analyst role, I worked both with the application front-end, supporting our clients and provided best practices for them to follow as well as handling all of the technical back-end components, such as Windows Server, Internet Information Services, and SQL Server databases.

API Healthcare

Client Support Specialist II May 2012 - December 2013

In the Client Support Specialist role, I answered questions from our clients sent in by email or called in by phone. I would diagnose and triage issues and forward on to my tier-2 Application Analyst team for further review when appropriate.

While in this role, I support two primary software solutions: API Healthcare's Human Resources and Payroll as well as Contingent Staffing and Recruiting solutions (this is a SaaS-based solution.)

Beaver Dam Unified School District

Office Paraprofessional September 2010 - May 2012

In this role, I did a wide variety of work, including basic office tasks, managed projects as assigned and developed monthly reporting figures for the Principal and Assistant Principal.
